Sustainability & Recycling

Recycle Right with YES! Waste Management and Island Green Living
At YES! Waste Management, we are deeply committed to preserving the natural beauty and health of the US Virgin Islands. This commitment is why we have partnered with Island Green Living to enhance recycling efforts across the islands, focusing on effective, eco-friendly waste solutions.

Our Collaborative Effort
In collaboration with Island Green Living, YES! Waste Management plays a pivotal role in managing and streamlining the recycling process for on-island events. We emphasize the importance of recycling the right way – ensuring that materials like plastic bottles and aluminum cans are properly sorted, clean, and ready for recycling.

    How It Works:

    1. Specialized Dumpster Rentals: We offer specialized dumpster rentals specifically for collecting recyclable materials. These dumpsters are available for reservation by businesses and event organizers.
    2. Preparation of Recyclables: For a streamlined recycling process, we accept mixed recyclables directly in our bins. It’s important to ensure that these bins contain only the items that are accepted for recycling, as outlined in the Island Green Living flyer. This method makes recycling more convenient for our clients and supports effective sorting at our facilities.
    3. Transport to St. John (STJ) for Sorting: Once collected, the recyclables are transported to St. John, where they undergo a meticulous sorting process. This step is crucial to ensure that only the appropriate materials are recycled, reducing contamination.
